The chimney was swept this week so we could get the log burner going: two bags of soot taken away (in the garden!). Due to the back boiler, we have only just established that the hot water / shower works! Thankfully, we've been lucky.
Our priority is getting the bedroom done so at least we will have somewhere comfortable to sleep. Lots to do in this room though.
we cleaned and took up the carpet last weekend and have taken the radiator off the wall.
Today we have sanded a lot (but not all) of the mould from the walls. We have managed to sink the sockets and light switch, chasing the cables, fixing in with trunking and finally using the old faithful expanding foam to fill the gap :-)
This is definitely Rich's new favourite (borrowed) toy!
George likes the new toy too, still smiling despite how dirty we've made him.
Must try not to get the door stuck in the polyfilla'd wall again!

That mould is stubborn!
Bit chewy that cheese
Trunking in, despite the flaky wall.
hopefully the room won't have completely been immersed in expanding foam by the time we go back tomorrow :-/
Hardly seems like a whole days work when you look at it in pictures but that's DIY for you.
