learning how to plaster... the messy way!

Today we carried on with the bedroom, cut the expanding foam back, finished sanding the walls and sanded the bits that needed gloss.  we made pieces to fill the skirting board where it had been cut for the original trunking.

As we couldn't get the diesel pump working to get the kerosene out of the tank at the old chapel, we had to siphon it out with a hose pipe, then lift the 205L drum onto the tank at the farmhouse and pour the kerosene in.  not a fun job, especially as we had to clear all the ivy away first!  we will get payback for this job when we burn it on the bonfire although there is a lot more ivy, it covers a lot of the back of the house.

Plastering! Ok but I wouldn't like to do a whole wall.  Emily was better at big areas (we did an experiment patch in the kitchen)

After plastering face!
